To those of you on the call the other night, I want to send out a great big THANK YOU! Your support, words of wisdom and kindness, and your love proved to be transformational for me. I went to bed feeling a sense of inner peace. Because I felt so loved by your energy, I woke up the next morning and allowed myself to face and admit to myself that I feel extreme sadness for my father. I was using the anger and rejection I felt that Thanksgiving night as a crutch for not dealing with his mortality. I have been hiding behind my anger so I didn't have to feel.

Isn't it ironic?? I am angry at my dad for hiding behind his anger, yet I am doing the very same thing. This awareness served as a major wake-up call.

I've decided I'm going to face my fears and give myself permission to feel...no holds barred!. I know that once I release the resistance I have had to feeling, everything else will fall into place.

My goal that night was to establish a deep level of intimacy and connection with my dad on my terms. I just learned that intimacy cannot be forced. It has to be a beautiful flowing dance between two people that cannot be choreographed by anything other than love and respect.

You will hold a very special place in my heart for showing me that love and support are truly magical healers.

Peace to all of you,
Ann Marie

Ann Marie,

I was not able to participate in the call last week, but felt such a strong emotional response to your post. Respect is something that I believe is the glue that holds relationships together...I believe it is the foundation for meaningful connections with all human beings - without it, what is there?

Although I missed the content of what is going on with you, please know that I support you totally. You are, my dear, an angel...don't forget that. You have a way of touching others that is indeed magical.

Love,
Donna
