Hi,

I am in the final stages of a divorce. I am 54 years old and have been a stay at home mom for nearly 22 years. For the last few years, I have been doing many, many things in order to ready myself for this time in my life. Although I feel I am well prepared to begin this new course, I am looking for advice/ suggestions/coaching in how to best navigate the unpaved road ahead.

Do you have any suggestions, advice, resources that you can highly recommend for someone in my position? Please remember that I am presently on a tight budget. Thanks!

Sincerely,
Barbara

Hi Barbara,

As scary as your position is, the way to success is only through what you live out each day. You have resources, we all do. Look inside. One suggestion for starters is look at all the people who are posting here and see the continuity betweem them all. Most have chosen to look inside first. The second quality is that they are looking for ways to give what they have to others. Put your own qualities and priorities first, and realize that in the midst of your current difficulty, you have much to give. There is a lot of healing in giving, and receiving from others.

I responded because your situation is similar to mine a few years ago. I think you've come to the right place for help. I've been following Cheryl's site for a long time now, and her suggestions really do work.

I am sorry for your apparent vulnerability and perhaps sadness. I'm also very glad that you reached out for help. Help is always there there for the asking.

Francis

Thank you, Frances. Your kind words meant so much. They, in fact, have helped to confirm that what I have been doing for the last year has been right on target. Barbara
