Hi,
I read this weeks news teller about faith, and I know it all in theory, but I am very anxious and nervous and at the point of loosing faith, because we have been trying to sell our beautiful house for the past year with no success.
We came down in price, publish it in all the newspapers and real estate agencies - not no luck...
We really need the money (we bought another house hoping we would have the funds by now..), we already have 2 very large mortgages too.
Help...
Karen.

Dear Karen,

The houses in my area are unrealistically priced for the market. Be sure that you have set a fair price and not one that is overinflated as many homeowners tend to have unrealistic ideas about the value of their house. Ask a few different realtors or look at what other homes in your area are asking (and how long they've been on the market) to make sure your price is right.

Also, be sure you have a newspaper ad, a flyer box in the front yard and contact realtors if you feel you are truly selling below market value to get them to bring clients by your house.

Find out how long houses are on the market in your area and don't expect yours to sell any faster without serious price reduction and LOTS OF ADVERTISING!

Good luck.

Dear Jeniffer,
I live in Israel, far away.... but the same applies here too.
We had the house assed by a good assessor and we started at his price, now we are offering it at $30K lower than his assesment...
We did all your suggestions above during the past year, since we first put it on the market.
We were sure that we will sell it quick, because it realy is a lovely house. That's why we baught the 2nd one - because we were sure it will be sold easily...
Thanks again for your words,
Karen.
