With three sons in Iraq, this mother finds each day a worry since American troops are being killed almost daily. We need to pray for all these brave (and some may not be so brave) men and women as they face danger, heat, fatigue, discouragement, and the unknown. The rest of us live in peace due to Americans such as these. I realize that often, if we don't have loved ones involved, we tend to forget what these men and women are enduring each and every moment of the day and night. Please find a way to be reminded of them each day, and take a few moments to pray for their endurance, renewed faith, and safe return home.

Dear Proud Mom,

I come from a long tradition of Air Force, so I know the pride you feel in your sons serving their country. My father was in the Air Force for twenty years and I have two brothers and a host of nieces and nephews who have carried on the tradition.

I will keep your sons in my prayers and ask God to watch over and protect them. A mother's love goes a long way sometimes. Hold on to the love you have for your sons and let it be your strength. Take care.

Thank you, Sherelle1, for your kind message. The prayers of loved ones is understandable; the prayers of strangers are gifts from above. Although I was moved to tears with your message, they came from the warmth of your genuine kindness. My thankfulness for people like you is so very much appreciated. I will also let my boys know of your kind words. May God bless you and your family always.
