Hello from Gilli in South Africa! This forum seems like a Godsend. not a pity party, but people understanding how difficult it is! I have been unemployed for almost five months doing all sort to keep the wolf from the door! My elderly parents are financially dependant on me. This I can handle until something better comes along! It is the huge debt and arrears that keep me awake at 3am in the morning. I dread the phone ringing in case its a creditor, my bank have handed me over, my landlord is losing patience! Here in this country we have all the loan sharks and micro lenders etc , but no real debt consolidation companies. Also as a "self employed" person with no collateral or assets, I am not a good credit risk anyway. It is so hard for someone who is trying to be innovative and entrepreneurial . The woes we all have I know! I just eed to touch base with other's here how they have overcome and be strengthened by your support...
