Today I've started over to do SOMETHING
To cry all I've been holding inside
To fight for what I want and need, what I feel I deserve
To say goodbye to the past that represses and depresses me
To be grateful for the things I've experienced, even the bad from which I've learned hard lessons, taking me down to the lowest feelings but getting back up for the next round
To accept that I need to take it one day at a time, not wishing I could turn back or fast-forward, but to live in the now-today!
To stay away from negative people who will drain my energy
To show my family how much I love them and am grateful for the little time we spend together as a family because of work and financial worries, the wars that make me sad and angry, and even TV for stealing time away from us
To be grateful for the times I don't feel sick instead of taking it forgranted and to take control in mind-over-matter
To be kinder, have compassion for others
To hold on tight to Faith especially when I am having a bad day
To share with others things I find difficult to express to the ones around me
To be honest with myself on what works and isn't working and to take action to make changes
To smile from within, take a deep breath, exhale and smile!
To love myself regardless of my faults, no one is perfect
To understand there is a reason we all have a life-story to share
TODAY IS THE DAY...TURN NEGATIVE TO POSITIVE

What a wonderful share...thanks for expressing it. I would like to post it in my computer. I also need to remember the good in all of this that happens, and believe when I am told that I run the same thread than the stars, the moon and oceans. Let's help each other with this.

Sometimes is really hard to remember it... but that is the struggle I guess. Sometimes I have to really pray to see the significance of every moment. Just standing in the subway late, I am thinking: I can create the life I envision; I can someday feel that the world is helped to get better by what I do; I am not alone...

Sorry don't know author to give credit.

Just for this morning, I am going to smile when I see your face and laugh when I feel like crying.
Just for this morning, I will let you choose what you want to wear, and smile and say how perfect it is.
Just for this morning, I am going to step over the laundry, and pick you up and take you to the park to play.
Just for this morning, I will leave the dishes in the sink, and let you teach me how to put that puzzle of yours together.
Just for this afternoon, I will unplug the telephone and keep the computer off, and sit with you in the backyard and blow bubbles.
Just for this afternoon, I will not yell once, not even a tiny grumble when you scream and whine for the ice cream truck, and I will buy you one if he comes by.
Just for this afternoon, I won’t worry about what you are going to be when you grow up, or second guess every decision I have made where you are concerned.
Just for this afternoon, I will let you help me bake cookies, and I won’t stand over you trying to fix them.
Just for this afternoon, I will take us to McDonald’s and buy us both a Happy Meal so you can have both toys.
Just for this evening, I will hold you in my arms and tell you a story about how you were born and how much I love you.
Just for this evening, I will let you splash in the tub and not get angry.
Just for this evening, I will let you stay up late while we sit on the porch and count all the stars.
Just for this evening, I will snuggle beside you for hours, and miss my favorite TV shows.
Just for this evening when I run my finger through your hair as you pray, I will simply be grateful that God has given me the greatest gift ever given.
I will think about the mothers and fathers who are searching for their missing children, the mothers and fathers who are visiting their children’s graves instead of their bedrooms, and mothers and fathers who are in hospital rooms watching their children suffer senselessly, and screaming inside that they can’t handle it anymore.
And when I kiss you good night I will hold you a little tighter, a little longer. It is then, that I will thank God for you, and ask him for nothing, except one more

Thank you,

It really worked for my sister a couple days ago when her kids were all ready for bed - bathed and in their pajamas, they decided to play in the rain. For a second she wanted to yell at them but decided to just enjoy looking at them having fun.
