Chicago writers and others - please check in!

Hello fellow Life Makeover travelers!

My name is Douglas and I am posting from Chicago. Would love to hear from others in the Chicago area. A big shout out now to all participants in the last phone telegathering (I think it was around July 28). I checked in with a question about how writers can stay focused, and committed to their ideas. I have dabbled in screenwriting and have a idea for a screenplay that I need to get out of my head and onto paper! Cheryl said there were some writer support groups I can access or maybe start one in Chicago. Can anyone here in the Windy City give me more details?

Hi Douglas,

I was visiting the message board for the first time when I saw your post. I happen to be a writer from the Chicago area who would be interested in learning about existing writer's support groups. Short fiction is my area of interest, although ideas for screenplays have come to mind from time to time. If nobody else responds to your post, I can recommend a good writer's workshop. I took classes there for about a year in the late-nineties, and in my opinion it was money well spent.

I AM A NEW MEMBER

I have written music and I have songs on a tape for. I have been waiting sooo long to get heard. I really have not the experience of getting my music out into the right hands so I can reap a few benefits as well as develope into a dynamic music writer. I play piano and the music is like the Boston Pops. All piano and backround. I have been told it is bueatiful and well put together.
I need some more ideas and help getting connected with the right manager/producer. Any Ideas would be greatly appreciated.
AS it sounds now-My tape of the music I composed-all the artists and muscians, local music companies,as well as people I have known state that this composition say's it is just for a movie of high quality-music and goes with a certain story or screenplay.Anyone interested or has any creditable connections to the entertainment business.thankyou miz mazeratie
