community group

Hi,

I am new here. I tried to get involved in some kind of group here in Los Angeles. I clicked on the links in order to be contacted but nobody ever did. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should do. I would really love to connect with some people.

Welcome, Jennie. I am wondering if it's possible that the reason you didn't get a reply from any of the LMG's is that it's summer and I know that many of them "take a break" in the summer months? If you want to connect with people face to face and you still don't get a response by the end of September, maybe you might want to think about starting your own LMG? There is lots of info and support available to people who want to start one.

In the meantime, why not connect with people here? Either jump into the conversation on one of the existing threads that grabs your fancy, or else start a thread about something you're challenged by, or interested in, or whatever, and see who joins you. You can even go back to one of the older threads, and make a post to bring it back up to the top again.

Or you can start by telling us - what do you want us to know about you?

While Patience has it's perfect place - I have been trying for two months and have applied to 27 groups a total of 4 times each and not one has contacted me. Perhaps, I could start a group in my area. However, I like to see how itr's actually done first. Any advice is welcome.
