I've been asked: "What do I have to do to start a group?"
"Am I taking responsibility for the whole thing?"
To start a group:
1. Go to the Community page of Cheryl's website.
2. On the left side click on Life Makeover Group "start one."
3. Read the directions and fill in the info.
4. There's two places on this page to click for more ideas.
5. When people contact you respond right away.
You may want to get together with the first 1 or 2 for coffee and start the group. Sometimes people wait till they have more people and by the time that happens they've lost the first few.
Once you've met, the group can decide how to work. Usually everyone takes a turn taking responsibility for the meeting. Check out some of the posts on this message board there are some great ideas.
Once you're meeting you may want to have a standard e-mail you send to all inquiries:
"Hi! Glad you found us! We are a group that meets at the Starbucks on Walnut Avenue, the second and fourth Tuesday of every month at 7PM. We are discussing Cheryl RIchardson's book "Life Makeovers" and using it to make changes in our lives that help us live our best life.
If you're interested you're welcomed to show up. If you want more information feel free to e-mail me any questions or we could connect by phone.
If this is what you're looking for we look forward to having you join us!"
You can keep this message in your files and then send it each time a request comes in. That way you don't have to form a response from scratch each time.
