I am new and working on procrastination. I have my name in for a Life Makeover Group as a leader but have had little success with having members. I have had a number of interest request and answered them but no results back. I have goals in that area as well as for my personal life.
My Goals
1. gain strength to follow through with my desires. I wish to follow through in this way.
1. walk 3 times a week.
2. do stretching exercise to strengthen my back and body
3. dress professionally 5x's a week
4. do makeup daily
5. be prepared for my cake decorating class fully by Tuesday night
every week for next 6 weeks.
7. find members for my LMOG
8> secure a meeting place
9. clean my bedroom to become an opulent restful place
10 do at least 1 playful fun activity a week

Rosey,

As I research and check in with Life Makeover Groups all over the world I'm learning a lot. Here are a couple things that may help:

1. Answer immediately!!!
People loose enthusiasm and interest if they've been checking their e-mail more than a couple times with no result.

2. Tell something about yourself in the first e-mail.
Those who get the best results share a little about themselves and their groups. It makes the person who's looking for a group feel more comfortable. (Watch the Life Makeover Group Support Message Board for some examples of good letters).

3. Once you have one other person you have a group!
Suggest a phone conversation or a meeting for coffee to go over the guidelines (http://www.cherylrichardson.com/community/run_a_group.htm) and decide what book you'll use to start. Don't wait for 4 or 5 people to show up before you start. You'll loose the interest of those who showed up first.

4. Don't depend on this website for all your members.
The website is a good place to start but it was set up to assist people in finding groups not to be the sole way of groups finding members. Lots of good ideas on finding members at http://www.cherylrichardson.com/community/tools_finding.htm

Meanwhile list your goals on the procrastination thread by hitting "reply" after reading the messages.

Best wishes for your success!
